Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 02, 2020 10:31 am I’ve qualified for a promo so ceiling has now increased to 30c (2.57m) and windows increased accordingly. They let me upgrade the door heights as well ($450 for internal and $200 for front door). 1. External doors; the laundry and garage rear (see pics) weren’t upgraded, should I upgrade them? I would consider them back doors (ie guests would not see them) - Entrance to laundry is just an opening (no door) so you probably wouldn’t be able to tell (nothing to compare it with) - The garage shopper and garage rear doors would be different heights (2.1m vs 2.4m) but you’d only see it when driving in. 2. The windows are at 27c (2.31m) while doors are 28c (2.4m). Does this matter? I was thinking I could just install curtain rods at 28c and disguise it. TIA for any advice/opinions. I considered leaving the ceiling height as standard but my dad is a big fan of the higher ceilings (he has a 3m living and master). Re windows I would also align them with the doors if possible, especially if there’s a window and door next to each other. Curtains look better hung from just under cornices, no matter the height of the window. Is the internal laundry door the opening you refer to? Assume the opening is from floor to ceiling. Re: Help - increased ceiling height (doors/windows) 3Aug 02, 2020 2:41 pm Oh, I hadn’t thought about floor to ceiling curtains. I’ll ask if I can match them, see what they say. >< Yes, the opening is floor to ceiling then you walk through the laundry to the laundry external door that is currently at 25c. Re: Help - increased ceiling height (doors/windows) 4Aug 06, 2020 11:11 am I would make all door openings uniform, and have windows set at the same height. I think anything less may impact the sales value. "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy.
