Hi,
I only learnt recently that windows can have different thickness of glass. The most common thicknesses I've seen are 4, 5 and 6mm. My question is, the standard seems to be 4mm. Does it make sense to upgrade to 5mm or even 6mm?
Thanks

Thicker glass is the most effective way of reducing noise through a window. It can be improved by using double glazing with differing thicknesses, and using laminated glass... but the major improvement is total glass thickness.
