Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 27, 2014 2:46 pm Hi there! Long time forum follower, but first time poster. We are currently planning on renovating our ensuite and bathroom. I have been looking down various avenues to source our tapware and such. I saw a new drop in spa bath with heater on gumtree, the measurements we require. I would have the bath prof. fitted. My question is, Would you recommend installing a spa bath in the bathroom? Do you have to take off tile work in order to get to the pump if something goes wrong? Also back to wall toilets, how do you take them out to fix leaks? I like that they are easier to keep clean and look neater but they seem like a bugger to fix if something gets loose. Thanks. Re: Is installing a spa bath asking for trouble? 2Jun 27, 2014 7:39 pm If possible do not locate the spa pump in the bathroom. My bathroom backs onto a garage, so the pump is installed in the garage where it is easy to get to. If your bathroom has an outside wall (& is on ground level), install the pump outside (with a cover) I used to live in an apartment. The spa pump was located in my bedroom wardrobe where it was easy to maintain Re: Is installing a spa bath asking for trouble? 4Jul 01, 2014 12:08 am We have had our bathroom spa for some time but no longer use it, novelty worn off and their not that good really. Never put pump in bathroom as the noise will make you turn it off. After the money we spent on the spa we went out and bought an outdoor spa and use it all the time and is much much better than any indoor style spa bath.
