Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 30, 2020 10:50 am Hi, We are planning a bathroom/laundry renno in our 1975 brick veneer home. We would like the wet area floors to be below our other house levels for obvious reasons as at the moment the tiles sit about 3cm above our floorboards which are the original pine ones we removed the carpet from and sanded. We do not want water in our bedroom carpet as there has been in the past! Yuk...Our bathrooms have been renovated by the previous owners as you can see they slapped some tilea on as the skirting is low. Potentially there was just lino in the original wet areas. We have checked the plans and have no slabs in the wet areas We are wondering if anyone has experience with this situation and advice or tips on how to go about the bathroom/laundry floor situation so it is up to code and protects our other carpet and flooring from flooding.
