Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 16, 2015 11:25 am Hi guys, Our en-suit shower, which is furthest away from the HWS and water mains, doesn’t seem have a great solid spray from the shower head. I need to actually check is there is a flow restrictor in the shower head, but if not, is there anything I can do to improve this by getting another shower head? Cheers, Robbie Re: Improving shower spray 2Feb 16, 2015 1:39 pm You're correct in thinking it is probably the showerhead although you may have low pressure as well that only a pressure test or an experienced plumber will be able to tell you by just looking at it. Do you have good pressure from your taps on the vanity ? If so then the pressure to your ensuite is probably fine and it is the showerhead at fault. I bought a watersaver showerhead a few years ago which saved a lot of water but the instant gas HWS used to cut out heating the water as the back pressure was too high. I took the shower rose apart and drilled slightly larger holes which solved the problem. The product is now commercialised and marketed as the Oxijet nozzle by the Felton company in NZ. http://www.felton.co.nz/?sid=2152 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEY-SgYpAO4 Note that video is also in the above link. 3in1 Supadiverta.
