Hi Folks,
Just wondering about anyone's experiences with insulation under tile floors?
I'm looking at incorporating a few large tiled areas in my new construction and am keen to get rid of that chill underfoot. The house will be on a slab ..
One idea we've had so far is to lay chipboard or something similar on the slab, with flooring materials (carpet / tiles) over the top. That may take off some of the bite, but perhaps there are dedicated insulation products for this purpose?
Slab / under-tile heating is another option .. But the running costs are a little off-putting.
Any ideas would be welcome!
Cheers,
Matt
