Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Nov 28, 2020 8:51 pm We had our handover but I need to contact our builder as the zoning to our heating/cooling were incorrect. This was not tested on our handover as our SS isn't familiar with the unit. Also the manual that came with it isn't straight forward or maybe because we are completely newbie. Zone 1 - supposed to be all ground floor but what they did were: rumpus and all bedrooms except for masters bedroom Zone 2 - supposed to be rumpus + masters bedroom but what they did: masters bedroom only Zone 3 - supposed to be all bedrooms except for masterd bedroom but what they did: all ground floor + all bedrooms except for masters bedroom It's messy and I'm stressed abour this error. Is this an easy fix? Thanks Re: Ducted reverse cycle system - incorrect zoning 2Nov 28, 2020 9:16 pm It should be an easy fix. If rumpus is moved into zone two then everything is correct, just different numbers. No big deal. Our aircon we can rename zones. Currently, when this zome is activated, there is heating/cooling to the entire ground floor + common bedrooms upstairs. We need to be able to cool/heat the entire ground floor only, excluding common bedrooms upstairs. Re: Ducted reverse cycle system - incorrect zoning 4Dec 22, 2020 2:49 pm This may be an easy fix depending on how they have your duct layout in the roof. If your zone motors that control the zones are not setup to easy add onto another zone, some rerunning of ductwork and changing of zones would be required. It would be best to get a copy of the ductwork layout they used for the installation to determine if it will be an easy fix. I hope it is for your sake. Thank you and you're right that it's an easy fix. The technician came in and fixed the zoning as per our contract.
