We have a new wall mounted inverter heat pump (air con) model SRK-25-ZDX by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
The modes are: heat, cool, dehumidify and AUTO.
With the first three modes the display on the remote shows the target temperature. But for AUTO (which heats, cools, or dehumidifies according to its sensors) shows instead "+/- n" number of degrees from 0 to 6.
The manual says for temp adjustment during AUTO mode: press <up> or
<down> to adjust the temperature.
I can understand that "+2" heats the room up a couple of degrees, and "-2" cools by two. However here's my question. What do you think "+/-0"
setting might do? Both + and - show on the display with a zero.
What it does on this setting is (apparently) heat the room slightly.
But I'd imagine that it dehumidifies with no heating/cooling. Right enough?
Also, after an hour at +2 does it stabilise there, or continue ad infinitum?
