Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 19, 2013 6:42 pm Hi, I'm going to look at invigorating my couch lawn by adding molasses into my Seasol/Powerfeed mix: In a 2L spray pack: - 500ml molasses - 750ml hot or boiling water Allow to cool - 500ml seasol - 250ml powerfeed After applying, is it necessary or recommended to water-in? Cheers Re: Water-in after Molasses/Seasol/Powerfeed? 2Oct 21, 2013 7:19 am I usually cover the bottom of the 2l spray pack with about a cm or two of molasses. Mix it with a bit of warm water then add the seasol and powerfeed. What area are you covering? Yes, i always water it in. I too would like to hear other peoples opinions about this. Also, a hippy farm near me sells worm wee in 2 litre bottles for like $5 each. I hear its wonderful stuff to use on lawns. Re: Water-in after Molasses/Seasol/Powerfeed? 4Oct 28, 2013 3:57 pm So I did about 200ml of molasses into the 2L pack (which seemed to be more than enough to cover the bottom of the pack) on the weekend. How often is too often to use the molasses? I'm currently doing SS&PF every 2 weeks until I see some good growth and rejuvenation happening. I'm also looking a adding some Kamba M into my next SS&PF session to rid the lawn of some broadleafs. If you haven't already noticed, I'm ultra determined to get my lawn soft and green again Re: Water-in after Molasses/Seasol/Powerfeed? 5Oct 28, 2013 6:35 pm How long does it take you to empty the 2L bottle over your backyard? My lawn is around 100sqm and it takes me at least half an hour that it's impossible not to water it with the amount of water needed to empty the pack. Re: Water-in after Molasses/Seasol/Powerfeed? 6Oct 29, 2013 7:56 am About 10 minutes with medium pressure. I turn the tap on maximum and crimp the hose with my hand to adjust the flow. Once the bottle is empty, I let the water flow to try and suck up the last lot of SS/PF from the bottom of the container. I once sprayed the lawn on full pressure and the bottle seemed like it emptied in about 5 minutes. Re: Water-in after Molasses/Seasol/Powerfeed? 7Oct 29, 2013 9:39 pm Hmm .. there must be something wrong with my bottle IMO there's no harm with watering in since they are meant to feed the soil and not the grass. But I'm not a lawn expert so perhaps others can correct me. Yes, I have. But, I haven't paid yet. They know they did not do proper jobs and I sent the email re: final payment, I cannot pay. They said, we will do 2nd PCI. Since… 2 5461 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 36901 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5118 |
