Hi we are facing two issues (1. soil always damp outside our house, 2.Soil erosion) due to frequent heavy downpour, we already graded the soil and will install a spoon drain through the trench. Still didnt solve the problem of so much rainwater hitting the soil, eroding them.
After some research in this forum, we realize that pouring in concrete around the house (making a concrete walkway) is kinda useful to divert the water away. But we have some underneath drainage pipe right next to the house. So we are thinking about Paver and Paver base panel.

If we use "Paver base panel" and concrete paver, are we making the problem worse as we are trapping the moisture in the subsoil. The panel has some holes but are these holes enough for the moisture to evaporate?
But we like the idea of having a paver base panel , it seems convenient and solve our first problem : soil erosion. But we wonder if the rainwater will seep through the pavers and then paver mat holes , and got trapped in the subsoil. Over time , this will be a huge problem to our house foundation?
