Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Sep 02, 2021 9:11 am So our backyard is eating money soo fast BUT it's getting there. NOW, we are getting close to the grass section of the fun. The problem is its about 200-300m2 of area. Which is ALOT of turf particularly when we are going to have to lay undersoil too. at the moment its dust and clay and rock. I have had a quote for $6000 for about 200m2 of turf installed but that doesn't include the undersoil and ground prep. I don't even know who I get in to do the undersoil work. we could possibly do it But that's like 10-20m3 of soil and that's not a weekend job and ALOT of trips back and forth in a bobcat (can't get a truck down the side of the house to dump). I have also had a quote for $6000 for 100m2 done but that includes the under soil. I don't really have $10000 left to turf the thing. Particularly seeing as we are having $8000 worth of drainage go in. would you turf? seed? tray to find someone to spray grass it? help. Re: Lawn.. what would you do 2Sep 02, 2021 11:34 am turf it, do the prep work yourself. put a couple days aside to do it. you'll be fine.
