Hi all,
After your opinions.
I am renovating a humble weatherboard house that, unfortunately, has limited options for car accommodation - no rear yard access to allow garage etc. The house currently has a very basic zinc single carport, but the positioning is awkward and conspicuous - see attached photo.
I'm weighing up whether it would be an improvement in terms of street appeal to remove or relocate it.
So, Option 1:
Relocate carport to the left hand side of the yard - essentially where the vehicle is parked in this photo (a little further towards the fence - carport would not encroach on the entry/steps... just!). This retains some undercover car accommodation, and I believe it would be an improvement visually, and practically (closer to entrance).
Option 2:
Remove the carport altogether. While it would improve street appeal, I'm concerned about the lack of any undercover car accommodation, and the impact on saleability.
Option C is just leave it where it is, and give it a coat of paint. Probably charcoal/woodland grey etc to try and make it 'disappear' visually, as much as possible!
Give me your opinions!
Cheers,
Damien
