Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jun 01, 2022 5:05 pm [ltr]Hi[/ltr] I live on a corner block and need to replace 34m of fencing. [ltr]I would like a 2,100mm high good neighbour fence with a 300mm lattice on top.[/ltr] [ltr]I am trying to get as much height as possible as a two storey monstrosity of an industrial building has sprung up across the road only a few metres away.[/ltr] [ltr]I have had a few quotes but the information seems to vary between companies.[/ltr] [ltr]A few guys that came out to quote have stated NOT to go above 1,800mm high with good neighbour fencing due to the exposed location and susceptibility to wind damage and will not offer a warranty. Rail and post above 1,800 however is fine.[/ltr] [ltr]And a few more quotes and a few more guys say going above 1,800mm height with good neighbour fending is not a problem.[/ltr] [ltr]The difference in price between double gates and sliding gate is around $3,000 (ouch). Does that sound about right?[/ltr] [ltr]Would love to hear from anyone who has had the same issue or from any fencing experts out there.[/ltr] [ltr]Many thanks in advance.[/ltr] Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Rule of thumb the sides and rear fences are required for privacy and exclusive use of the back yard.
