Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 25, 2015 10:45 pm Hi We have a 440 x 2400 window as a splash back behind the sink on one side of our kitchen. The window is very important as its on the N side of the house. It's tricky to get enough N light in as it's also on the neighbours side. There's no view to speak of out the window. Just a fence and a pretty ugly house. We were thinking of milky glass or something but I know this lets in less light. I don't want to compromise our really important N light, especially in the kitchen. What would you do? What finishes are available? Is it translucent I should be asking for? Yes I do think this is the better and nicer option.. I'm not a huge green thumb but with a bit more effort will be far far nicer in the long run.. If you don't have a great view, make one! Then you have something lovely outside your sink. I'm sure our landscaper can help just set it up. Compromising the light into the kitchen would be a big mistake. A hanging garden with herbs would be easy and perfect. Re: Window splash back 5Jul 28, 2015 1:57 am travisaus I'd get mattelux glass (basically translucent but nicer looking). You will see get the light in there but not the view. Thanks I will look into it.. That will stop dirt etc too I guess showing up as much..I'm really conflicted as to which way to go!
