Hi all curious to peoples opinion / experience regarding range hoods. My wife an I fancy the concealed range hoods available on the market. We are having a 900mmm cook top but the 900mm concealed range hoods are super expensive. We have found a 700mm concealed unit that is price effective. I have seen it done before but have had no feedback on its functionally. We are aware that all cupboards will have to be a little higher than normal to meet Aust standards. Your feedback would be much appreciated Cheers Hack

Hi Hack,
Have recently been through the same quandary ourselves with big "M". We upgraded the gas cooktop to a 980mm but the advice was to leave the rangehood as the standard 750mm & not go to a larger canopy hood.
Our concern was with the smaller rangehood there would cupboards exposed to heat.
Have been assured that this is fine & the company have never had a problem with the concealed rangehood being smaller than the cooktop.
Will be interested in the feedback & advice you receive from others.
