Thanks everyone - we are really looking forward to moving in this weekend. The colour is called Deep Aloe Vera ........ was a bit worried. Thought I needed a dark colour because of the ambush of white everywhere - think I've made the right choice Jazz It has come up well IMO! I'm having a white on white kitchen but will be adding green through feature walls and accessories, with touches of brown through furnishings and window treatments- a favourite combination of mine. BTW, what is your flooring type? Full timber or engineered floating? Hi Lex, It's full timber flooring. We still have the original Kauri Pine in the bedrooms which have come up a treat - so glad we kept them, the flooring throughout the whole house looks brilliant. Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Show me your kitchen... 593May 19, 2010 9:15 am This is the option I select when I want a nice size pic inserted. (ImageShack keeps changing their site, so now it automatically inserts a small "preview" pic instead of the full size - can't be bothered looking for where to set it not to do it automatically, they keep changing it all the time anyway). Can you share your colours, impatient? Walls, cabinets, splashback, timber, benchtop. My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Show me your kitchen... 594May 19, 2010 3:38 pm Ok - here goes, more photos and details. The walk in pantry is the door next to the fridge - it has a sensor light when the door is opened - unfortunately its not an automatically closing door. One day i'll get a new fridge. The splashback is actually 600x300 tiles- soho(brand) organic(colour) gloss from mirror ceramics. this is our secret hidey hole - it was too difficult to put in a corner cupboard, so we open it from the other side - turns out perfect - the kids sit at the breakfast bar to do their computer work - everything is stored underneath. Details next post. Re: Show me your kitchen... 596May 19, 2010 3:55 pm suh OOHLALA I thought that was a glass splashback, they are beautiful tiles love your hidey hole, that is a great idea. We renovated it from a 25yr old timber kitchen with green benchtops. i had to turn my oven on with pliers. Its basically the same layout though. I liked the way it was so why change it. the microwave went in above the oven instead of on the bench, and we cut the walls back next to the fridge so it all lined up. would you believe it used to stick out another 400mm - couldn't understand that one.
Ok - the cupboard doors are 2 pac hi gloss taubmans Pebble bay. The panels on the back of the bar are Bristol mountain shadow. Benchtops are Caesar stone ice snow 30mm with a 20mm brushed aluminium shadowline. Kicks are brushed aluminium.
