Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 21, 2014 7:21 pm Hey there, I wanted to ask if anyone has had a glass window splashback fitted and are they happy with it? I love the idea of more light into the kitchen area and the plus of being able to look onto the back garden. Our building company are saying that it's something that looks great but after a year or so the build up of grease and dirt makes it look nasty. I think he's trying to put us off doing it but it's something I really want in our design. Any advice will be most appreciated. Thanks so much! As long as you have a toughened glass window with cooktop area there is no problem, all splashbacks get dirty doesn't matter the surface behind it but cleaned regularly it will be no problem glass is easily cleaned better than tiles and grout. Re: Window splashback 4Sep 24, 2014 7:50 pm I love ours, it will just look out into a small garden bed but the light it allows in makes the kitchen a great area. I really can't imagine it'd be any different to look after than a normal glass splashback apart from having to also clean the other side. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Window splashback 5Apr 07, 2017 10:33 pm Hi. Thought I would raise this thread again instead of starting a new one. I would like to see pics of everyone's views from their window splashback. The house we are going to build has one and I'm looking for some inspiration. TIA Re: Window splashback 6Aug 01, 2017 8:40 am We originally were going to do one, but changed our mind, mainly for privacy reasons. Can't really put a blind on that window, so at night anyone can look in, and you can't see out.
