But it is a lot of $s so you would really really really really want to love it Re: Redink Battleaxe - almost at lock up - windows, tables, 411Mar 29, 2015 10:49 pm trixee Gosh it's a lovely table but. I did expect it to be around 10K, so it's a bargain really! But yeah, probably about double what I'm hoping to pay for. On the other hand, I do agree that if it's something that'll be used every day, it might be worth it if you can afford it. Decisions, decisions Trixee belzey It is a fantastic table and if you can justify the amount of $s then I say go for it! If you don't, and you could have, you might always wonder about it I'm the worlds biggest concrete lover - but I think I might have struggled to decide between table #3 and table #2 - wow! I've never seen a table like it - I like that you won't bump into legs when sat down. I wonder if Rache has seen it? Re: Redink Battleaxe - almost at lock up - windows, tables, 414Apr 07, 2015 3:33 am Have you decided yet? I saw this and wondered whether you'd be up to doing your own - it would be totally unique too http://www.familyhandyman.com/masonry/b ... e/view-all Re: Redink Battleaxe - almost at lock up - windows, tables, 415Apr 13, 2015 1:10 pm MalSannie Have you decided yet? DH is going to have a crack at a concrete coffee table and if that works he'll do the dining table. As much as we love that table we've had a few people tell us to give it a go ourselves! Fingers crossed it turns out... Happy Monday We're locked up and the cabinetry was finished last week. I'm guessing it will be the stone tops next! I am LOVING the kitchen and can't wait until the flooring is in. I'm not completely in love with the bathroom choices. The en suite vanity cabinet is very similar to the vanity top...when the colour chips are laying flat they are contrasting colours but when they're vertical and horizontal they're very same-same because of how the light reflects, which is a bummer! Hopefully it will look better once it's tiled and there's the feature tiles too! We're umming and ahhing about the splashback. We originally wanted mirror but SO many people have tried to talk us out of it (including The Block last night ) because it will need to be cleaned so regularly. But I think I'd clean the splashback after most meals anyway! Keen for opinions on the splashback! We're looking at the mirrored or a frosted silver... Anyway, here's some pics Hope everyone had a great weekend! x Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68804 Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/jadeshereejust/ Instagram: https://instagram.com/jadeshereejust/ Re: Redink Battleaxe - lock up + cabinetry! 417Apr 13, 2015 1:40 pm I still think there is a nice contrast between the bathroom vanity and the cabinets, especially in the second photo! I would personally stay away from a mirrored splashback but im really old fashioned, i like the regular tiled one Progress is looking good! Re: Redink Battleaxe - lock up + cabinetry! 418Apr 13, 2015 1:43 pm Love the marble look on your island, is your bench top the same? What about if you carried on the marble into the splash back if not? I think the mirror looks great but i'd hate cleaning it (and finger prints etc) and i'd not want to look at myself either lol. Bathroom looks fine to me, it'll look different when finished I reckon and you can break the colour up with your styling when you move in. I would say mirror I love mirror splashbacks and if you're going to keep it clean, then it doesn't matter if it's dirty whilst your cooking. It'll give the room such a bigger feel as well I think. Re: Redink Battleaxe - lock up + cabinetry! 420Apr 13, 2015 4:31 pm Another fan of the marble! Not so of a mirrored splashback, too contemporary for my taste. I'd keep it all classic and like the idea of that marble as a back splash! Thats the real hero piece of your kitchen! Thanks for the insight!
