Browse Forums Real Estate 1 May 11, 2013 6:39 pm hi everyone Need some advice please... bought a brand new constructed townhouse, it is completed, only touch ups required. Real estate agent, bank and conveyancer has advised that plan of subdivision has been applied but not approved yet, and title not registered. We settle in June. Just wondering what happens if builder/vendor cannot get subdivision approved, conveyancer has stated that we can walk away from purchase if subdivision is not approved, is this correct? And has anyone else out there ever experienced this sort of purchase before? Does the subdivision generally come in on time? I believe it can take up to 18 months! If the vendor can't deliver that yes you should be able to walk away. Apparently vendor legally has up to 18 months for this occur. Has anyone else dealt with such a transaction before?
