was panning to do this so i can restrict there size to approx 5metres.
is this an ok thing to do and if so wat size pots would i need, ill be using glazed pots for extra strength

They will also grow slower so will take some time to reach you desired 5 metre height. However, all plants will want to grow out of pots eventually, it depends on what type of palm it is too. And if if were me, i would leave them there.. I really dislike they way they grow tall making it difficult to get at the enormous branches that die and hang there for months/years..
