Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 31, 2023 7:56 pm So, i have a registered builders licence and being a domestic carpenter who is currently running my own business, my current aim is to save up a bit more money (30 years old) after having completed a long 10 year study/traineeship and apprenticehaip and buy land and build a large double story on it and rent it out in the mean time before selling it or keeping it as finance to begin my development career. Having some skill set I know I will save money in the project being able to complete carpentry items as well as other areas such as tiling and rendering, and have material in storage. I have just struck a new idea in my career field, if my aim is to utilise my skills and become a developer why not learn farmwork carpentry as an extension to my background as I know it will.become very beneficial toward basement construction ect in the future. - saying this is heavily predicted on the fact that if the plan does go To plan, the hope is to learn formwork carpentry once the funds are saved to.obtain land, build the house then have tenants also contributing to the mortgage (on a wage)* mind you, an apprentice wage within the land of commercial construction (formwork) is high, I don't know the prospects of gaining employment tho I know it's not low - so the question of, using my business now to raise capital, buy land, then build, then to go back to s*** old days of significantly less - I have come this far, what do u all think I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home.
