I know Rochelle. David went up one weekend and they were laying out for the slab and by the next weekend the slab had been done and the frame finished! Last Saturday the windows were in and the insulation wrap done and they looked like they were going to start with the roof tiles.

I know the one next door to us at 724 looks HUGE! It's a Porter Davis Lifestyle and we have been trying to guess which one from their floorplans, lol! I think lot 726 will be building soon as well.

We thought we saw the tap man going towards your block the other weekend! Now that they have started it won't seem 2 minutes before yours is up. Same with Viking, now that their slab is done.

You can see a lot of people were ready and waiting just for the land to settle as so many have already started building. :)

Viking, I hope they put the roof on before they plastered! Lol.

I checked out the new part if the estate last night, there are so many houses being built so quickly, it's going to look great once they are all finished :)

Lots if the temporary fencing has been blown over or away, I think the builders under estimate just how windy Wallan is!

Sent from my iPhone so please excuse my spelling mist cakes ;)

Hi All,
DH and I are about to buy a block in Wallara Waters! We've only just started looking but are pretty certain already! Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I also requested to join the Facebook group.

sorry i keep forgetting to post here as well after updates are done on FB ;-)
we met with our SS laste week, he came to our house which was awesome and we went through everything and all the stages and whats next etc. we have been told by a few people in the industry that our ss is really good so thats great news :-)
so yes slab is down windows and doors have been dropped off at our block, and the framing has started, I learnt today that DFH only do stick frames not any of that pre fab frames so i think its cool to watch that process the old school way.
we just came back from our block and saw them working out there and was told that we get trusses tuesday and roof wednesday... so looking forward coming home from work to see these updates.
our SS gave us the sparky's contact details so we can contact him now and organise the couple of extra power points we forgotten about.

viking your place is going really quick, what is the estimated handover at this stage??
Hi minanddan welcome :-)
what stage were you looking at??

The facebook group is called 'Wallara Waters'. Just do a search when you are next on facebook. It's an invite only page so you need to apply and then get accepted.

Hope this helps. :P

Both myself and my wife have tried to join the FB group a month or so ago but have had no response to our requests as yet :(

Our stage 9 lot is not due to title until December and it might be until mid 2013 before we can start building but the progress on Stages 7 and 8 is exciting to see every time we come up for a drive by.

I like your Lot 725, you won't get people driving past and I like the walkway through to Wallara Waters Boulevard.

I requested to join too, hopefully someone approves us all soon! We're 99% set on purchasing a lot in Stage 9 too, 951! We might be neighbours. Who are you looking to build with?

Cool, we were looking at 951 because it's closer to the park but decided on 908 for the 18m frontage.
So we will be right at the end of the street from you, assuming you proceed.

Ahh awesome, there's only 3 blocks left in stage 9 now, all near the park and the same size so not a lot of choice!

as far as I can tell the only Lots they have released on stage 9 are some of the 18 and 16m frontages as most of the wide ones were sold out of Stage 8, so they still want to be able to offer some choice of bigger blocks even though Stage 8 isn't sold out yet.

Although we weren't in a big hurry to buy, we did want a wide block and didn't want to be close to the freeway, and stage 10 is probably going to be over that way so we jumped on stage 9.

Oh in answer to whom we are going to build with, we haven't decided yet, though Carlisle Homes has been the front runner, we love their Dakota design. It's 99% what we want, but haven't given up on finding something even better.

We want to leave enough yard space to put a small swimming pool in down the track when we can afford to. So we pretty much don't want the house to be too wide as that will give us the most yard space, but we also want 4 bedrooms plus extra living area etc, and do NOT want to go 2 storeys, so it's finding the best design that fits everything we want.

We also haven't ruled out making our own design and having someone build it, but that could end up costing a lot more so at some point we'll have to work out what we are willing to compromise on.

We have found a perfect design from a builder in WA, but they don't build here :(
