brightgreen is not compatible with clipsal dimmer.. it will only dim to 50 percent i guess... not enough for moodlight... they suggested to use a particular dimmer which can dim it to 0 percent... Yes, everything that was an extra from the standard electrical plan was completed directly with the electrician though I do not know if this happens in other regions with DFH. Best to ask.

Paint looks good Mac. We went similar colours to you. Our colours are subtle hint walls with gloss oriental white arches and skirts and builders white ceiling. We are also having the render painted in smooth horizon which should be finished next week.

Thanks Graham B! It does help to see things before you pick it, yours looks good, I just hope mine will look okay, my bricks are a bit darker I think, what brick did you use? I guess once the windows and front door are stained it will all blend, I am still going to see if I can change to the steel ...

I am really happy with how the bricks have turned out, the corbels stand out a little with the shadows which helps break up all the bricks. The garage is 10m wide x 6m internally or 65sqm according to the plan. I have been playing with the photo above and this is the result with some cedar doors, n...

Very funny, but you know builders. Make it as cheaply as possible hence why they made it at 900mm centres to start with I think They didnt read the contract or didnt care then tell the owner that it is more expensive to save the fix/cost. Suprised they havn't charged me if what they tell me is true.

Hi, The roof is colorbond so I am sure it is strong enough, it is more the cost issue I think. It is a bit late now to have it fixed as it is at fitout stage know, I have had Branko from Build-Expert do a fixing stage inspection and the only thing he said was that they should reinburse me the cost o...

Hi, I am hoping someone can help us. We are trying to get an idea on the overall cost difference between building a house with trusses at 600mm centres compared to 900mm centres and battoning the ceiling for plaster(I guess the roofing battons would be closer to for OH&S) Our builder was suppose...

Thanks for your feedback mgilla, As it is the garage corner in the plans show that the brickwork should have been continued further through so it goes behind the stud wall so that the plaster wall butts up to the brickwork with a metal trim like the rest of the plaster to brick corners in the garage...
