May i suggest you paint the fence in either your light render colour or your feature colour. Then you could plant a couple of cordylines (if you go with the feature colour, then opt for ones that have bright pink/red in the leaves like the fruticosa) and underplant with a fine leaved lomandra. Other...

So glad it is done and that i can now sit back, relax and enjoy my back garden. If anyone in the Wellard ar...

A house is not a home until a cat lives there... I adopted this little rascal from the Cat Haven (via City Farmers Baldivis) this afternoon. She already owns the house like a boss. The Cat Haven named her Montana and I rather like the name - it suits her - though it will no doubt be shortened to Mon...

It's been a few months since i last posted and i haven't done much since. However, my plants out back have grown alot - the cottonwood hibiscus's are no longer scrawny looking twigs. With cash i received at Christmas i have added a few new plants, so the garden beds are bow starting to fill up a lit...

So after three hot days in a row, realising this house is gonna get HOT HOT HOT in summer :( Been thinking about options to try and cool the place down. South side is the two bedrooms and they seem fine, they have block out blinds and get little sun. East side is the sliding back door and lounge wi...

Hi Dawn, which acacia cognata variety are you using? Limelight, cousin it, or a taller one? My tip would be to go with something taller to add more interest & depth to the garden bed & to hide the fence. Btw, i like how you have the 'plants' arranged in a curvy manner instead of straight lin...

I'd start your paving at the same level as the porch and then drop down then you won't have that lip from the blocks. The basketweave pattern reduces the amount of cutting required. Ask yourself, do you really like the pattern & could you live with ot permanently? As for flooring of the porch, $...
