Hi Tim, We're just starting to plan our build in Newcastle. I own a small excavation business and have made quite a few contacts for trades through clients. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. Cheers. Adam.

Try the 2nd hand building supply place in Redhead, I think they demolish houses. Not sure of a price though. Adam.

If you get a skip ask how much weight it includes. Some only include 1-2 tonnes.

I used Bessa blocks for my boundary fence but I'm guessing bricks would be more expensive due to labor costs as they tend to charge per brick. Adam........

Do you know if it has reinforcing in it. If not, I'd just hire an electric hammer from Kennards and break it up. You could even try a sign out the front saying free clean fill to get rid of it. A contractor will charge tip fees plus some to get rid of it, plus the bobcat. Depending where you are, bo...

Apart from privet being a noxious weed, they do smell and are also bad for people with allergies. I've just spent months removing privet from my block. I'd plant lilly pillies, there native and have small leaves similar to privet but will take longer to grow. Adam.......

An experienced bobcat driver will do in 4 hours what will take you all weekend. It's normally a minimum 4 hour hire at about $100 an hour. And you don't have to pick it up and drop it off. I use a guy that has a bobcat and an excavator and brings them both for the same hourly rate. I would look into...

Back on topic. I'm building a shed at the moment and I'm using Polyair One. It's the same as aircell but allot cheaper. I paid $255 per 60m x 1.2m roll or $4.25/m. Aircell gives 30sqm coverage per roll while Polyair gives 72sqm. Hope this helps. I also went straight to the manufacturer. I had quotes...

Thanks. I removed jasmine from the original fence. I do like it but I really need something that attaches itself to the bricks as it will be on the outside of my property in a lane way.

I'd like something that attaches itself like ivy ( but not ivy, the wife hates it) and would prefer a native if they exist. Th...
